Material and Quality of Construction

• Thermowood – Thermowood is wood subjected to a special heat treatment, which increases its resistance to weather conditions and decay processes. This makes it an ideal material for outdoor use. During thermal modification, the wood loses most of its resin content, preventing sap from leaking even at high temperatures. It is also more dimensionally stable and does not deform under moisture. The modification process mainly concerns thick structural elements, such as walls, ceilings, or floors, while smaller details, such as benches, windows, or doors, are not subjected to thermal modification.

Choosing a Heating System:

Harvia Vega is an elegant and easy-to-use device. Its casing, made of stainless steel, gives your sauna a modern look. Ergonomic knobs controlling temperature and operating time, located at the top of the casing, make this stove easy and simple to operate. The Vega stove is easily mounted on a separate mounting plate. Thanks to the symmetrical design of the stove, it can be placed in any position. Electrical connections are brought from the side, facilitating installation. The design of the Vega stove allows for low installation on the sauna wall. This enables even heat distribution in the sauna and provides a lot of warmth in the lower benches.

All saunas should be stored outdoors during installation and immediately after, to protect them from weather conditions and UV radiation. This is especially important for barrel saunas, where it may be necessary over time to adjust the tension bands if gaps appear. This problem occurs less frequently in saunas made of thermowood, as additional fastenings can be used with screws.
